About
We do the work.
You get the answer.
JustGetWise is an independent editorial site built on one simple idea: most guides on the internet are either too complicated, too salesy, or just plain wrong. We built this to be the resource we wished existed.
We are a small team of researchers and writers who got tired of wading through jargon, affiliate-stuffed listicles, and outdated information just to answer a basic question. Every guide we publish starts with a real question someone actually has, not a keyword someone wanted to rank for.
How we work
We test the things we write about. If we publish a guide on AI tools, we have used those tools. If we compare financial products, we have read the fine print. We do not summarize press releases and call it research.
We also use AI to help us work faster. We believe that using the best available tools to do better research is a feature, not a problem. What AI cannot replace is judgment, and that stays with us.
How we make money
Some of the links on JustGetWise are affiliate links. If you click one and sign up or make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This is how we keep the site free and independent.
Affiliate relationships do not influence our rankings or recommendations. If something is not worth your time, we will not recommend it regardless of whether it pays us. Our full disclosure is in our Terms of Service.
What we cover
We focus on areas where bad information costs people real money and time: AI tools, personal finance, health decisions, and lifestyle. We pick topics where we can be genuinely useful, not just present.
If you have a question you wish someone would just answer plainly, send it our way. That is exactly what this site is for.
Meet the writers
The people behind the research.
Jordan Lee
AI & Productivity Writer
Jordan covers AI tools, productivity software, and the practical side of working with technology. He has spent the better part of a decade testing tools that promise to save time and has developed a good sense for which ones actually deliver. His guides focus on what changes in your workflow, not just what looks good in a demo.
Last piece of tech you wish you'd never replaced?
"My Nokia 3310. Indestructible, week-long battery, zero distractions. Now I charge my phone three times a day and call it progress."
Morgan Hayes
Money Writer
Morgan covers personal finance, insurance, and consumer financial decisions. She came out of six years in financial services research and has a low tolerance for vague advice. Her work focuses on decisions with real financial stakes: which product actually saves money, and where the fine print matters most.
Biggest "I should have bought that" moment?
"Bitcoin in 2013. I read the whitepaper, thought it was interesting, and closed the tab. Let's leave it at that."
Jamie Novak
Health & Wellness Writer
Jamie covers health treatments, medications, and wellness decisions. She has a background in science communication and spent several years translating clinical research for general audiences. Her work focuses on what the actual data shows, not what supplement brands want you to believe.
One wellness trend you tried that turned out to be completely useless?
"A $90 'superfood' powder that turned out to be glorified spirulina. I still have half the bag."
Riley Cross
Lifestyle & Fashion Writer
Riley covers fashion trends, lifestyle decisions, and the consumer choices that actually stick. She came from the retail side of the industry and has a good eye for which trends have staying power and which ones are manufactured by brands with excess inventory.
One fashion rule you've completely stopped following?
"Dress for your body type. Just wear what you like."
Editorial guidelines
Key principles for our content
- ✓We test or thoroughly research every product and service before publishing an opinion on it.
- ✓Health content is reviewed for factual accuracy against clinical trial data and regulatory sources. Medical articles include a reviewer note at the top.
- ✓Financial comparisons use consistent, documented test parameters so our results can be replicated.
- ✓We update content when products change, prices shift, or new data becomes available.
- ✓Affiliate partners cannot review or request changes to our content before publication.
Key principles for partnerships
- ✓We are transparent about how we make money. Affiliate commissions fund the site, not our ratings.
- ✓A product paying us a higher commission does not rank higher in our comparisons.
- ✓We will recommend a free option over a paid one if it genuinely serves the reader better.
If you spot something that looks wrong, let us know and we will correct it.
